sailin’ away

Anyone else like David Gray? He’s an old favorite of mine. There’s something comforting in his voice…. It’s soothing. ANYWAY, I’ve been humming the chorus from one of his songs this evening as I’ve been packing for a little trip with my honey! Rich and I are leaving in the early a.m. tomorrow for a cruise!! And it’s not just any cruise. Oh no. This is a marriage enrichment cruise! We’re joining several other couples who are also a part of the Warriors in Transition Battalion at Brooke Army Medical Center for a week of marriage enrichment and FUN, facilitated by several of our wonderful chaplains from BAMC. We’ve really been looking forward to this. Partly because, well, who doesn’t love a vacation??? But also because it is allowing us some time to just get away and concentrate on US. We’re leaving our laptops and cell phones behind!!! AND, the only camera I’m taking is our point and shoot. I know! You might be thinking that my brain is a bit addled, but it’s not. I’m just determined that I won’t be tempted to go into “work” mode. Instead, I’m going to relax, enjoy this time with Rich, and just take point and shoot snapshots like everyone else.

So, all of that to say, should you call or email me, I won’t be getting back to you until NEXT Friday. But no worries, I WILL get back to you. And I might even send you a few of my snapshots!
