Last week I went to meet sweet baby Ilyas. And he is absolutely perfect in. every. way. When I first got there I threw my camera aside, snatched him up, and just breathed him in. Words cannot describe the sweetness of a new baby. And this particular little man is especially sweet. 
I eventually surrendered him back to his momma and cradled my camera instead. Not quite as good, but it was rewarding! I wanted to photograph the view that I had as I held Ilyas. I almost always find myself holding my breath as I look at a baby in my arms… watching his changing expressions, his little chest rise and fall, his sweet lips part slightly and fist curl even tighter as he (no doubt) dreams of his next meal!
And so, this first image was born, though not without a bit of head/neck discomfort on Sarah’s part. (Sorry Sarah!!!) I love many of these images, but the first is my favorite….
Congratulations Ali family! Two beautiful (errrr…..I mean handsome) boys! You are so blessed.
