esther :: soon to be mom

Esther’s maternity session this past Thursday started off swell…with me unintentionally insulting her!! As I was setting up for our first shot, I commented that I “need my wide angle for this one,” only to hear Esther and Bobbie (friend support) start laughing. I immediately “heard” what I had said and quickly explained that I needed it because I wanted to capture the environment around her. I was very thankful Esther has a good sense of humor!! Mental note to self: do not mention wide angle lens at maternity sessions…!!

ANYWAY, once I dislodged my foot from my mouth, we got going and had a lot of fun. We shot at a beautiful park in Manchester, NH, which I will never be able to find again as I wasn’t the one driving. But it was a great spot for Esther to kick off her shoes and for me to capture her absolutely gorgeous form! After traipsing around in the park for a bit, we headed over to Ben & Jerry’s for a much desired needed ice cream break. My favorite ice cream is now Phish Food. Yum!

Esther and Bobbie, thank you for such a fun afternoon! I think I would like to do it again next week. You free?:)

Oh, and just for the record, I LOVE the beauty here in New Hampshire and wish (oh, how I wish!) that I could shoot here all the time!!

Becka Knight - I am VERY excited about being pregnant because it will FINALLY give me the excuse to eat ice cream for every meal. ;)

Frank DiMeo - These are great Melanie!
I especially love the first one because it is so much about the baby. Well the mother too, but it seems to show how protected the baby will always be.

gina&tony - ahaha! ben & jerry’s!! i love it. #5 is awesome. great job! -gina

Steve - Maternity is the hardest photography to do and these are awesome. She really looks good, amazing. Kinda wish I was the father…(did I just write that?)

Miguel Mayo - Colorful images, she looks natural and so happy. Congratulations!

Annie Warren - Hi Melanie. This set is really gorgeous. The blue dress with the green trees is lovely… the colours are so appealing. The icecream series is my favourite though. So cute!

Valerie Schooling - Aww, these are adorable! The ones with the tall trees are my favorites, I think. Beautiful work, as always Melanie!

Ayesha - Shes too cute.. love the ice-cream series and picture 3 the most.

Brandi - How adorable is she? I love the fourth set down, so gorgeous.
