I have been truly horrible about blogging for the past…ehhh…..month or more. I have no excuses, so I will make none. My apologies will simply have to do.
And, I will try to be better.
In browsing through some other photogs’ blogs, I found that I was “tagged” by Aussie Photographer Erinna Murray and never knew it! So, this is a bit late, but I thought I’d go ahead and participate. Why not, eh?
1. What was I doing ten years ago?
In April of 1998 I was 19 years old and finishing my freshman year of college. What a fun year that was!! I went to Italy over Christmas break, and basically just goofed off all year. My freshman level classes weren’t all that hard, so I didn’t study much. I mainly just hung out with friends at the dorm and made late night runs to Taco Cabana.
I was also eagerly looking forward to moving off campus and into a rented house that I would be sharing with my sister and another good friend. Good times…..
2. Things on my “To Do” list
All I have to do to answer this question is flip over to my desktop “sticky note” and copy it.
I am a HUGE fan of “To Do” lists. I live for them. The sense of satisfaction that I get when I am able to cross off or delete something is inexplainable. Anyway, my current list reads:
- make dentist appointment
- order sample album from Courtney and Jason’s wedding
- email Vic about portraits over Mother’s Day weekend
- WORK OUT!!!!!!
3. Bad habits
- ignoring my blog
- staying up too late
- always finding something else to do other than work out
- usually have too many projects to work on
- really, this list could go on for a while…but I’ll spare you.![]()
4. Places I have lived
- multiple places in Texas (Oak Cliff, Coppell, Duncanville, Arlington, Laredo, San Antonio)
- Wrentham, Massachusetts (loved it there)
- Amsterdam, Holland (only reason I didn’t stay was because I came back to get married. Otherwise, I’d still be there!!!)
5. Things most people don’t know about me
- I have a Masters degree in Journalism
- I’m pretty darn good with charcoal, paper, and a subject
- I’m fast (running, that is)
- I would LOVE to go to culinary school. Not because I want to be a chef, but because I want to learn how to create tasty art.![]()
- I have a feathered child in the form of a Maroon-Bellied Conure. He’s a mess.
