chemo

I just thought I would update the blog with a few pictures of Rich during his latest treatment (Wednesday). You can see the tube coming out of his shirt; this is hooked up to the port in his chest. I took these pictures while he was getting one of his “push” drugs. This means that it is pushed through his port over a certain period of time. I think that most of his push drugs are pushed over a 20-30 minute time period.

All of the chemo nurses are really sweet; we enjoy visiting with them! This particular time I sat in the treatment room and chatted for a while because it wasn’t very full. There was an older gentleman (88 years) in there, retired from an Army career, who kept us in stitches. His sweet little wife was also there (married for over 60 years!).

I have to apologize for the date imprint on the images. I was using Rich’s little point and shoot and didn’t realize that option was turned on. I’m so used to my own camera….

Kevin Swan - Melanie,

My heart and prayers go out to you and Rich. My brother in law is going through a rough struggle with cancer (his 4th :( ), I certainly sympathize.

Rich looks like he can kick cancer’s ass, though. hahaha.

In Him,
Kevin

Michelle - Hi Melanie, Your hubby looks like a real trooper in these pics :) And how wonderful that you all get along with the medical staff.. big help I’m sure! Know that my love and prayers are with you both… This will all see it’s end one day.
Much love,
Michelle
