I love the camera because it gives the ability to preserve the beauty of life. As I look through old albums that belonged to my grandparents, and my own wedding album, I am filled with delight and a deep thankfulness for what I hold in my hands. Through those images I am able to participate in the life, love, joy, and even the grief and sadness, of my family. This is priceless to me. I know that it is also priceless to my clients.

This blog is my outlet for whatever I have on my mind, as well teasers from recent sessions. It is my goal for past, present, and future clients to learn a bit more about me here. Oh, and my blog loves to be loved on, so don't be shy. Visit often and drop a comment here and there!

I have been given the incredible honor of being included in Style Me Pretty’s Little Black Book of Wedding Vendors. This is particularly exciting because this “go to” blog for brides has caught the attention of Martha Stewart! She even talked about it, along with three other wedding blogs, on her morning show back in September.

Abby, creator of Style me Pretty, debuted the LBB yesterday and describes it as “a highly edited collection of wedding service providers—from mom and pop boutiques to the red carpet A-listers.” Oh my! Now even MORE reason to work really hard on creating my new website! Soon I will be debuting something of my own: www.melanieswanphoto.com. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition from the good ole’ MB Photography.
